1. Who we are

Jobz (operated by VideoMatch Inc.) runs a talent platform at jobzhr.com that connects candidates with hiring managers. This policy explains how we handle your data when you use any part of the platform — the candidate portal, the employer preview, or the public website.

2. What we collect

Candidates

  • Resume (PDF or document) — used to match you with relevant roles and build your profile
  • Intro video — stored securely on S3 and shown only to verified hiring managers after your profile is approved
  • Email address — extracted from your resume or provided by you; used for job digest emails and hiring manager introductions
  • LinkedIn, GitHub, and portfolio URLs — optional; displayed on your profile if provided

  • Hiring managers

  • Work email address — used to gate access to the candidate preview and to send engagement confirmations
  • Engagement actions (which candidates you engaged with, any note you sent)

  • Browser extension users

  • Resume (PDF or document) — uploaded once and used to score your fit against jobs you choose to assess
  • Job description text — read only from the specific job page you actively choose to score, when you click the extension; used solely to generate your fit assessment and not stored beyond serving the result
  • Email address — extracted from your resume; used to create your Jobz profile and send the optional "see how you look" email

  • All visitors

  • Standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) — used for security and performance monitoring only
  • 3. How we use your data

    We use your information to:

  • Match candidates with relevant job openings (using third-party job-data sources and AI)
  • Deliver job digest emails to candidates who request them
  • Notify our team when a new candidate profile is submitted, so we can review and approve it
  • Connect hiring managers with candidates they express interest in
  • Send transactional emails (job digests, engagement confirmations, candidate introductions)

  • We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising.

    4. Who we share data with

    We share data only with the services required to operate the platform:


  • Cloud storage provider — Resume and video file storage
  • Email delivery provider — Transactional emails (job digests, approvals, candidate introductions)
  • AI processing provider — Resume signal extraction and job relevance scoring
  • Job data provider — Job search results delivered to candidates
  • Application hosting — Serving the platform and processing requests
  • Internal communications — Team notifications when new profiles are submitted

  • All third parties are bound by their own privacy policies and data processing agreements. We do not share your data with any advertising platforms.

    5. Data retention

  • Candidate profiles — retained until you request deletion or your profile is removed by our team
  • Hiring manager emails — retained for the duration of the session; stored in browser localStorage, not on our servers
  • Job search resumes — temporarily staged on S3 for processing, not permanently stored unless you submit a profile
  • Server logs — retained for 90 days
  • 6. Your rights

    You have the right to:

  • Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
  • Correction — ask us to correct inaccurate data
  • Deletion — ask us to delete your profile and associated data
  • Opt out — unsubscribe from job digest emails at any time by replying "unsubscribe" or emailing hello@jobzhr.com

  • To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@jobzhr.com. We will respond within 30 days.

    7. Security

    All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Resumes and videos are stored in private S3 buckets with access controlled via signed URLs. We do not store payment information.

    8. Cookies

    We use browser localStorage (not cookies) to persist your session on the employer preview page. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising pixels.

    9. Children

    Jobz is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has submitted data, contact us at hello@jobzhr.com and we will delete it promptly.

    10. Changes to this policy

    We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be noted at the top of this page with a revised date. Continued use of the platform after a change constitutes acceptance.
